A Colorful Book
By Amazon Customer
This book nicely demonstrates the uniforms, equipment, and small arms used by the American G.I. during WWII in the various theaters of operation, though Europe predominates. The color photography is superb and the accompanying descriptions are brief but helpful. This book is recommended to anyone who wants a better idea of the appearance of the U.S. soldier as he really looked like. The color makes all the difference in the world!

SUPERB RESEARCH MATERIAL!!!
By richard steve c. paz
Here is one superb research material for all collectors and modellers who are interested in American WW2 uniforms and equipment. Photographs are superb, clear, and sharp! Sure, the models are re-enactors, but they were posed and modeled realistically.
As an American WW2 militaria collector in the Philippines, where information does not abound as much as in the United States and other countries, I would say that this book lessened the burden of research and saved me a lot of time and effort.
I would highly recommend this reference material to all!

The World War II Gi : Us Army Uniforms 1941-45 in Color
By jeff Fortais
By far the most detailed book I have seen is this one on American GI uniforms. The pictures are clear sharp and address all major aspects of ww2 uniforms for the American GI. It appears that the models used are (or could be) a group of reenactors who do a great job displaying their acoutrements. I personally refer to this book at least once a day and keep it on hand when I attend local antique and flea markets. It is a great reference item for those interested in learning the basics about GI uniforms in WW2.
