PHENOMENAL

I have studied about the importance of midnight prayer and have actually prayed at midnight with absolute results to answered prayers. I did do away with it when I ended up working late. I have struggled in getting back into this routine. It has never left my mind and spirit to pray at midnight. I know greater impacts happen when I pray at midnight. God answers prayers all day long, however, there is something special about praying at midnight. Agbo did not mention this in his book, but praying at midnight is usually quiet. The streets are slow, children sleeping, etc., and I, personally can hear from God and He ministers to me more during the hours of 11:45 to 5a. It is awesome and truly rewarding.

The Power of Midnight Prayer by Pastor Gabriel Agbo has not only provided the purpose of midnight prayer, but has enhanced the reasons and we should pray at midnight. This nation as well as the rest of the world has and is in turmoil today. We are truly in the last days and it time for the Body of Christ to go into battle like never before.

This author has really emphasized this and more in the book. There are many many scriptures about things that has transpired due to midnight prayer. I do not want to give the book completely away. All I can say is WOW, WOW and more WOW! This is TRULY A MUST READ!!!!!!!! Also along with this book read The Complete Armor by McVey. I recommend reading the Armor first and then this book. I read both books back and forth until I got to chapter of the Armor and had to finish it first. Both books are truly worth the money. I plan on getting the hard copy for my library. These books along with the Word of the Living God has changed my life for the better.

I've really enjoyed this book as it lays out biblically the reasons to pray in the midnight hour. Rev Agbo takes the time to outline the relationship of persistent midnight prayer and spiritual warfare very simply and yet powerfully.

Good book for beginners looking for OOP approach

Elegant Objects (Volume 1) is good collection of OOP tips. It's nice that there is a new book bringing into attention OOP principles. Besides listing numerous tips, advice and examples, book also briefly discuses advantages of OOP over procedural programming.

I also like author's use of objects' anthropomorphic point of view, i.e. looking at objects as living organisms with behavior. I think that helps readers shift their mindset from "thinking like a computer".

Sad aspect is author's lack of reasoning and use of strongest possible words. "pure evil", "it is dumb", "absolutely terrible", etc. This position of know-it-all paradoxically show's authors ignorance; and often he openly admits he doesn't know the reason, but "just don't do it". The advice is still good and there may be other reasons, but author would have to be open-minded and maybe read other books to acquire deeper understanding.

I also felt sometimes that I've been cheated. He writes one example to prove point of argument, and in next chapter says the example it's not actually good and changes it to prove his new point. This inconsistency doesn't add up much of credibility.

But overall good book for beginners looking for OOP approach.

A Practical, Clear and Convincing Book with Depth!

Elegant Objects is a great book with depth and practical approaches (reads easy). Yegor writes clearly and convincingly, often with expletives (good and wrong).

The book is an eye opener and mindsetter for me. Now, I avoid using static methods, I'm considering about names, and yes, I get a lot of more respect for my objects (and especially for the constructor(s))! Yegor speaks OOP purely and refutes the procedural alternatives.

In the first edition, there are some issues (e.g. p.27: missing reference: Section ??). The metaphor "Static methods are like a cancer ....... tumor" (p.131) is ethically wrong for me.

A mixed bag

A very odd book. I have to disagree with other reviewers' suggestion that this book is suitable for newcomers to object-oriented programming, because some topics are true and good advice; others are interesting but need more caveats associated with them, and others are IMHO flat-out wrong. All are presented as eternal truths with unwavering confidence. The other problem is that the book redefines terms which are in common use elsewhere (when the author says 'declarative' most people would use the term 'lazy'), which could really confuse the unwary.

I do think this is an interesting book if you have some more experience. I found it a stimulating read, because it spurred me to have a mental argument with the author most of the way through. I was able to find some new insights and it prompted me to re-examine some prior assumptions, and it certainly wasn't boring. But I think you need to read critically.

Good idea, but awkward & negative feel

This booklet has a couple of good verses about controlling your mouth, and it gives good examples of the child losing privileges for whining too much. However, the ending is just awkward...

"Dad says whining doesn't show your love to other people. I think Dad's right - whining is wrong. I want to be nice to others because Jesus loves me and died for my sins. Besides, I don't like it when other people whine."

While I agree with what she's saying, it's very awkwardly worded and doesn't flow well. Then the next page, the child says, "I am sorry I was annoying." in big bold letters. While this made me laugh a little, because we all know how annoying a whiner can be, I do not want my children to think that calling someone annoying (even themselves) is a good thing.

Small, but mighty.

Take note: This must be a package of 6 or 10. CBD sells the same book for $0.99, so Amazon is probably giving you a bulk package.

Following suit with other books in the "God, I Need to Talk to You about ..." series, this book reads like a prayer spoken by the main character. In this book, the main character is a young girl.

She begins her conversation with God by saying she has a habit that needs to be broken. "I whine too much." She keeps getting in trouble for it. Even now, she's in time-out for whining. She knows it's not right; that it "annoys people and is disrespectful", but still she has a tough time not doing it. She tells God she doesn't mean to whine, but she does because she wants people to listen to her or help her right away. She confesses: "Sometimes I feel like I'm not very important." The prayer concludes with her asking God for forgiveness and asking Him to help her be more patient and respectful toward others.

The illustrations by Bill Clark are done in comic book style with bold outlines and plenty of expressions.

What I Like: The specificity of this series of books. It's easy to find the exact problem your child may struggle with and grab a book to address the issue directly. I like that the books are told in first person from the child's perspective. I also appreciate the explanations of underlying reasons. By helping the children articulate how they're feeling, parents can more easily address the root causes of the problem.

What I Dislike: The size. The book is paperback, only 4.5 x 5.5". That's small! It is easily lost in a pile of books.

Overall Rating: Very good.

There had long been a complex and troubled relationship between the Sirians and those from the far larger constellation of the more advanced worlds in the Pleiadean cluster of planets. Many of those worlds within the over two hundred and fifty inhabited planets of the Pleiadean federation were extremely advanced, although most were still dependent on some form of vehicular transport on their interplanetary journeys. However, I knew the Pleiadeans were generally believed to be well beyond the technological stage of the Sirians, who were still at an early phase in their space-faring career.

My dolphin communicant seemed to want to digress for a moment to show me what he knew about the Pleiadeans. At first I thought it might simply be Sirian propaganda, since I’d already noted what a distorted view they had of the Pleiadean evacuation program on Lemuria. I previously believed the Pleiadeans’ only intervention was when their arks had come to the rescue, but my dolphin was showing me something else.

Apparently, the Pleiadeans have had a far longer association with Lemuria than was generally known. Perhaps it was more Sirian propaganda, but my dolphin was convinced it was the Pleiadean Lemurian evacuation that first breached the most basic of interplanetary protocols that dictated an absolute noninterference with less advanced worlds unless specifically required by the Multiverse Administration.

The dolphin showed me that the Pleiadeans had opened a forbidden door.

Not only had they appeared to have broken the general noninterference agreement, but they’d intervened on a planet that had been under a strict quarantine since the Lucifer Rebellion. And because the Pleiadeans were known to be among those races that were dedicated to serving others, a few other more expedient space-faring races took it as open season on planet Earth--so long as their activities remained unnoticed. There was some illicit gold-mining in South Africa by a race creating a gold-dust orbital screen for their world. In the jungles of the Amazon, a race from Itibi-Ra II discovered a fruit that on transporting it back to their world had become a gourmet delicacy. Other races sneaked into the biosphere to refuel their ships by sucking up seawater; there were even a few bases constructed underwater and used as waystations by these races for their intergalactic tours.

These sort of minor infractions seemed to be overlooked by MA’s local agencies because they didn’t directly make any impact on the human evolutionary process. But even I could tell it was a slippery slope.

My dolphin was showing me that a small group of Sirian Nommo, regarded by the Council as a rogue faction, had taken advantage of the Atlantean ruling classes’ power-lust and greed. They started by stirring up the simmering internecine strife between the Atlantean clans, and then later, they had manipulated the conflicts to achieve the promotion of a single, all-powerful godking.

This had been the situation as I found it when I had arrived recently on Atlantis and which had, by all accounts, been continuing for over a century and a half. I hadn’t been aware on my previous visits to Atlantis that the Sirians were the gray eminence behind the godking’s cruel and repressive measures.

Thus it was when the island nation was crystallizing into a single monolithic police state that life for the average Atlantean was judged to be intolerable by the Seraphic Overgovernment. Everyday life for most of them had become dominated by the terror of an immediate brutal reprisal for minor crimes and offenses so arbitrary they were constantly being changed. As a result, nobody knew what the laws were from day to day. Spies were everywhere; people, innocent and otherwise, had been disappearing overnight; any opposition was mercilessly suppressed by public execution and arbitrary reprisal killings; no one could leave the island; in fact, it had all the techniques and trappings of a modern tyrant on steroids.

If I was accurately interpreting the visual gestalts, it had been at this point the Sirian High Council acquiesced to sending a few well-prepared rebel angels to incarnate within dolphin vehicles. It was a strategy they believed would outflank the intentions of the rogue Sirians; a way of extracting the noble and the innocent before the inevitable disaster.

The images suddenly switched, and in those moments I caught a glimpse of a far larger picture at work. Regardless of having previously referred to this world and the other thirty-six rebellious planets as “kindergarten for upwardly mobile souls,” I have to admit now that until I was permitted the following insight, these were just empty words. It wasn’t the kindergarten reference--I’d always known that third-density worlds were schools for mortals--it was the caring that I was now witnessing. It was the essential benevolence of Multiverse Authorities I’d been missing. I saw in those moments that however corrupt and wicked a human society becomes, there will always be some innocent souls who will be led to safety. If their social environment becomes completely untenable for their required spiritual lessons, older brothers and sisters will step in.

This was clearly what the Pleiadeans were doing with their massive evacuation arks. However, in lifting off so many of the Lemurians prior to the destruction of their islands, the Pleiadeans were now being accused of overplaying their hand.

Angelic Creativity

I've been reading each volume of Mr. Wyllie's epic series as they are released. Each one has a slightly
different vibe depending on the material covered, but all are compelling reads. This particular book is
fascinating for a number of reasons. We get some insight into Timothy's past incarnations, and also a
very interesting look at the role music and music production has played in his life. Songwriting, rehearsal,
recording, and the process of shopping the music are all covered.
As an amateur guitar player myself, I found the story of the non traditional tuning he created for his
instrument very intriguing. I highly recommend this book to musicians and non musicians alike. There is
a little something for everyone here. And of course, we get deeper insights in the angelic rebellion that has
effected our planet, and how those rebel angels have played a role in shaping history from ancient to modern
times. Very enjoyable.

Good for an undergraduate course, but not graduate

I originally thought this book was well written, especially in comparison to another text book I was using for the same class, but the further I got into it the more frustrating I became. Don't get me wrong, this is probably a great book to give a cursory overview of public management for an undergraduate course. As a graduate student, even for an introductory graduate course in public management, I think the arguments could definitely be more sophisticated.

Quality of content aside, I am also incredibly frustrated to have paid $150 for a textbook that is riddled with spelling errors and typos. It is a baseline I feel that should be expected of an academic. I can understand one or two, but Chapter 10 in particular is ridiculous.

This story is well written and yes it has sex hot amazing sex…….

It’s not about winning. It’s about how you play the game.

The first two books where amazing and I couldn’t wait for book 3 to come out and Brooke Harris did not let me down. This series really is crazy, captivating, and keeps you on the edge of your seat and I mean your literally biting your nails off.

Eva has grown so much since the series began that I am really proud of her. She’s done being a people pleaser, and now she’s going after what she wants. And she wants Julian Harte and she plans on staking her claim.

Julian has always enjoyed a challenge that comes with the game. But some challenges are too big, even for him. He’s about to face the hardest decision of his life. Keeping secrets is the only way he knows how to protect Eva.

Eva is not making it easy for Julian and is running out of time.

Will Julian and Eva realize that they are on the same team before it’s too late? Will they have their happily ever after?

I laughed and cried. I got angry at these two stubborn fools who just wouldn’t stop playing to win.
Julian and Eva have grown so much over this series that I am disappointed that it’s come to an end. I hope we get to meet up with them on a later date.

I highly recommend this book but please read the first two books to this series…

What to say, this book is

First off I just want to say that Brooke Harris is such a great author. Queen of Harte's was a much anticipated book in the Harte Series. The first two books were great but this one was not only fantastic, but was compelling and spell binding. It was hot, (I mean hot). It had so many twists and turns I had to stop and think back to the other books and it was like holy crap I didn't see that coming. At times I wanted to yell (well actually I did) at both Julian and Eva for their stubbornness. I can't tell you how often I had tears throughout this book. I must congratulate Brooke on the ending. As I was reading and crying thinking I couldn't believe this was how it was ending, she turned it around making me laugh and giving me, Julian and Eva our HEA. Great job Brooke the long anticipated wait was well worth it.
